The Craig Black Group, incorporating Black Toyota, has continued to expand thanks to its diversification into the rental car market and the development of a large Budget agency in Dalby.
The Group’s acquisition of Budget Rent A Car South West Queensland has not only complimented the existing business but addressed demand for mine specification vehicles – an offshoot of the local ‘energy boom’.
“Essentially Budget South West has capitalised on the emerging opportunities in the Surat Basin to move into mine-specified commercial vehicles,” says General Manager Michael Pimm.
“Budget now boasts an extremely large fleet of full mine specification dual cabs and wagons, which have been fitted with heavy duty accessories manufactured locally at Boonarga Welding. All vehicles are equipped with in-vehicle monitoring systems, UHF radios, roll over legs, heavy duty trays and second spare tyres. Such vehicles are currently available for short and long term hire throughout the Surat Basin.”
Over the past year the Budget South West fleet has been completely updated and expanded significantly.  This expansion includes a number of passenger vehicles and commercial vehicles which are now based permanently in Dalby. 
“The size of the Budget fleet in South West Queensland has more than doubled, and the range of vehicles available has increased significantly,” offers Michael.
Budget South West now includes nine outlets in the region from Gatton to Charleville, including major bases in Toowoomba, Roma, Chinchilla and Dalby.  The Dalby arm of Budget South West operates from the new Black Toyota premises on Drayton Street.
