An impressive milestone for Myall Medical

With medical services universally in high demand, the Dalby community can be immensely proud of its local doctors and health workers. As a leading provider of health care in Dalby for the past ten years, the team at Myall Medical Practice work tirelessly to deliver proficient health care and  encourage further medical specialities to establish in Dalby.

Founding partners Doctors Lynch, Maxwell and Bechtel have been providing medical services to our community for a combined total of 63 years, whilst Dr Gall returned to practice medicine in the region where she grew up.

Even with a total of seven full-time doctors and one part-time doctor, the workload is ever increasing with new patients adding to existing clientele. The doctors not only care for the patients who attend their practice, but also work in conjunction with the hospital and local imaging services. They also provide most of Dalby’s after hours obstetric and anaesthesia services.

Practice manager Sally Mauch says that the Practice appreciates how concerned people are about their health and takes pride in the level of commitment it offers patients.

"We try to keep our waiting times to a minimum, but unforeseen emergencies often take the doctors away from the Practice. With the flu season approaching we anticipate additional pressures on the Practice."

However patients can make the most of their consultation by following a few important steps when making an appointment.

  • A standard appointment is 10 minutes. If you have numerous issues to discuss, it is beneficial to book a longer consultation. You should also advise reception staff if you are booking for tests or procedures other than a standard appointment.
  • Results of any previous x-rays, scans, ultrasounds or blood tests can be obtained by phoning reception
  • Cancellations should be made no later than two hours prior to your appointment time.
  • Always update all personal information on attending the practice, including next of kin details, emergency contacts, health funds, etc

With these simple tips we can all make the most of our doctor’s time and remain on the path to better health and wellbeing.
