Dalby Spring Art Show –be captivated

At the beginning of spring each year, Dalby hosts an exhilarating showcase of emerging, evolving, and simply captivating artwork from artists near and very far.  A rich social and cultural event, the Dalby Spring Art Show will be staged for an entire weekend allowing everyone to mingle and linger over an extraordinary display.  The theme this year is ‘igniting illusion’.

The gala opening night - with champagne, canapés and live music – will be Friday September 5.  Each year opening night tantalises the audience with live art displays and this year is no exception. “It will be evocative” said committee member, Rebecca Gleeson.

“Every age and every gender will be delighted with the array of paintings, drawings, photography, decorative art, silver and sculpture on display and all pieces will be for sale,” said Rebecca.

“As a committee we work hard throughout the year to ensure that all artists are included from junior art to the elusive investment art.  Again this year we will be canvassing our local businesses to enter into the Business Sculpture Award, highlighting their creative and diverse skills to produce a sculpture from their own raw remnants.”
