Travel via Stonestreet’s

Around Australia bus excursions, weekend mystery tours and overseas travel adventures are now available in Dalby through locally operated Stonestreet’s Coaches.

The company acquired longstanding French’s Coaches last year and has amalgamated the Dalby fleet into its Toowoomba and Roma operations to deliver a wide range of transport, tour and charter options.

Phil Stonestreet, who operates the company with his sister Bev Mules, says Stonestreet’s now works the Dalby district school runs and has also extended its bus and coach services to the area with Chris Whibley moving in from Roma as the Dalby manager.

“Our company delivers friendly personalised service as well as flexibility and convenience for Dalby residents with a modern fleet of buses, coaches and mini buses that will go just about anywhere.”

Travel options extend from short day trips to 34 day coach tours and the company also caters for groups such as schools, clubs and special interest groups wanting to plan their own itinerary.

“We recently took a gardening club down to Melbourne for the annual flower show and organised accommodation as well as providing catering for much of the trip.”

Tours take in sightseeing to places within easy reach of Dalby as well as popular events such as Easter in the Country and State of Origin.

The Road, River and Rail tour covers much of Australia including Melbourne, Adelaide, Alice Springs and Darwin.

Stonestreet’s Coaches has its own travel club and its 2500 members enjoy discounted travel, free travel insurance for tours over seven days, home pick-ups and bonus bags and badges.

Coaches seat from 21 up to 71 people and the company recently purchased a 12 seater bus to cater for smaller group requests including airport transfers and personalised winery tours.

Designed for comfort, all coaches offer seat belts for improved safety, climate control air conditioning, video/DVD, and some are also equipped with wheelchair lifts.

Phil says, “We’re upgrading our fleet all the time and our newer models will be Euro 4 compliant for cleaner emissions.”

Buses are also available to industry for transporting workers during major development projects.
