RDS Australia supplies the latest onboard weighing systems for front-end loaders, excavators and trucks.  Without these systems, transport and earthmoving companies are left guessing what loads weigh and risk dangerous overloads, expensive fines and lost time.

RDS weighing systems are proving so popular that Chris has increased his staff from one to four, has expanded into New Zealand, and is currently servicing clients in Hong Kong, Thailand and New Caledonia. 

He attributes his success to attaching top level service and support to a quality product. 

Availability is also a key factor.  A qualified pilot, Chris can fly to most locations and be on the ground assisting a client within hours.

“Dalby is an excellent base.  Draw a three hour circle around Dalby and you’ll cover a lot more ground than if you drew a three hour circle around Brisbane.  Besides, we prefer the lifestyle here.”

Chris started the business in 1996 with a focus on agricultural electronics.  In fact, RDS was one of the first companies to bring GPS systems to farmers, but as the years got drier, Chris redirected the business focus to industrial weighing systems.  And the rest, as they say, is history.
