Design & drafting dynamos

As the Darling Downs continues to experience significant growth, demand for the services of AG Martin Design & Drafting (MDD) has also escalated.

To manage this new wave of development, renovations and extensions to their existing office have been necessary to handle the increasing workload.
 
The extensions have provided eight new offices, two conference rooms and more staff amenities.

Owners Arthur and Yvonne Martin say the additions were necessary in order to optimise staff productivity and workflow.

“People work better if they are in a comfortable and equipped environment,” Yvonne says.

To maintain their customer service culture, Arthur and Yvonne regularly meet with staff to review and appraise performances ensuring that a high level of professional drafting is achieved.

“We value the variety of experience each member brings to our organisation and we are always keen to hear from anyone who has a passion to become a Building Designer.”

“While the growth belt that extends from Oakey to Roma focuses on industries such as mining, coal seam gas and water, the people that are coming to the area require houses, offices and schools…That’s where we become involved,” Arthur says.

This is proven true with MDD undertaking a number of new projects both in Dalby and other regions, including the new Student Facilities Centre at Dalby State High School, redevelopment of seven classrooms at St Mary’s College, and a 24 unit motel in Dalby.

They have also made inroads afar with a 42 unit development in Emerald and a new look for the Monto Shire Council administration centre.

“We provide the whole package from drawings and documentation for residential, commercial and industrial construction to building and town planning applications, to calling of tenders and project management.

“We liaise with a range of consultants to ensure all aspects of every project are completely covered.”

MDD uses sophisticated software and has recently purchased a large scale photocopier and can offer contract photocopying services up to A0 size documents.
