Be charmed by Dalby’s B&B

Take a step into the style and tranquility of Dalby’s only ‘Bed and Breakfast’ (B&B), Leslie House. Located in the heart of town, the Queenslander-home embraces the elegance of yesteryear, with all the modern conveniences you’d expect in first-class accommodation.

Owners Peter and Liz Forbes said after years of staying in B&Bs around Australia, they couldn’t resist setting up their own “home-away-from-home” style of accommodation.

The result is impressive.  Inviting leather lounges, library collection, fireplace, flatscreen TV, country-style kitchen and upright piano (which has been in Peter’s family for four generations) all add to the atmosphere.  Guests can enjoy a cuppa on the deck overlooking the rose garden, soak their cares away in the heated spa, take a stroll in the grounds, then retreat to one of the three classically-decorated queen guestrooms, each with reverse-cycle air-conditioning and private ensuites.

Onsite managers Noel and Lynda Watts (Liz’s parents) offer guests privacy along with some good old-fashioned country hospitality.  They are well-versed in the many great things to do and see around Dalby, from rainforests to wineries.

Of course, one of the best parts of a B&B is the breakfast, and Leslie House does not disappoint with its restaurant-style meal.  “A little jazzier than what you’d get at an average B&B,” says Liz.

If it all sounds too tempting, then book now to enjoy the best of country charm and calm right here in Dalby.
