Horse Power ~ Dalby hosts national sale | Dalby Australian Stock Horse Society Sale

One horse power may not seem like much these days, but when it comes to style and speed the Australian Stock Horse is hard to beat. Their athleticism, temperament and ability make stock horses popular with sports such as show jumping, polo cross and campdrafting, as well as their traditional role of working with livestock.
“These horses are athletes on four legs and the Dalby Australian Stock Horse Society Sale is an exciting time of the year,” says Jim Ryan, one of the organisers of the event set to be hosted at the Showgrounds from December 3 - 5.
He said past Sales have attracted people from all over Australia and the occasional overseas customer.
Now in its 36th year, the Dalby ASH Sale boosts the local economy with up to 3000 visitors rubbing shoulders with locals at the vendors’ breakfast on the Saturday morning.
From noon, horses will be put through their paces with sale inspection, parade and working demonstration.  On the Saturday evening all the community is invited to enjoy bbq, bar and free live concert featuring award winning country music artist Catherine Britt. Sunday’s sale kicks off at 9am.
