Dalby Christian School has long been a quiet achiever in the region offering a unique approach that is geared towards developing all aspects of a child’s spiritual, intellectual, social, emotional and physical wellbeing.

School Council Chairman David Johnston said the school’s educational program was based on the Queensland State curriculum, presented from a Biblical viewpoint.

Dalby Christian School focuses on cherishing students’ individual gifts both in the classroom and through extra-curricular activities, such as science club, CO2 dragsters, solar car club, debating, athletics, free after-school tutoring, band and choir.
This blend of academic excellence and individual encouragement has seen past students go on to excel in fields including engineering, medicine, science, journalism, education, library management, information technology, business and the defence force.
Since its humble beginnings 25 years ago, the independent, non-denominational school has grown to cater for some 250 students from kindergarten to year 12 and has recently opened a new Long Day Care and Before and After School and Vacation Care facility.

“It’s exciting for the Dalby Christian School to be the only local school able to offer the continuum of learning from early childhood right through to secondary,” David said.

In recent years, the school has undertaken a multi-million dollar upgrade with a new early learning centre, Prep/Year One building, Year 2/3 building, Years 4-7 building and primary school computer lab.

This is part of the school’s master plan for future development.  The next stage will include new secondary science and computer labs.

Boarding facilities are currently available on campus where students are supervised by caring live-in house-parents.
