Safety Not Risky Business

When it comes to safety, businesses can no longer afford to take a “she’ll be right” approach. More and more businesses are calling in experts to ensure their workplace is safe, the right systems are in place and staff are adequately trained and equipped.

MacNellie’s Workplace Safety, winner of the Heritage/Chamber of Commerce New Business of the Year 2005, can provide the complete package when it comes to expert safety consulting, training and equipment.

Proprietors Mick and Jenny MacNellie believe their hardworking, honest and flexible approach has seen the business grow since opening their doors in Dalby in 2004.

Mick has almost 20 years experience in safety and is regularly updating his training to ensure he is at the cutting edge.

Mick’s passion for what he does and his larrikin style make training sessions enjoyable.

While he can impressively quote countless sections of safety legislation, Mick says that “doesn’t mean safety training has to be boring”.

“Whether it be first aid training, machinery ticketing or safety inductions, we take it very seriously, but we also try to have some fun – it actually helps people remember what they’re learning,” he said.

Born and bred in the area - Mick from Cecil Plains and Jenny from Millmerran - they’ve enthusiastically made Dalby home and are dedicated to seeing the district prosper. Both have recently taken an active role on the Dalby Chamber management committee.

MacNellie’s showroom boasts a wide range of products for business or home, including first aid kits, safety boots and fire extinguishers.
