Trevor Nimmo’s office is a hive of activity. He’s fielding calls, chasing orders and attending to customer requests for floor coverings in the kaleidoscopic range sold by Andersen’s Carpets. A friendly approach, coupled with expert product knowledge, typifies the service you will receive from Trevor. It is this uncompromising standard that saw him recently receive the Dalby Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s Exceptional Service Award.
When asked about winning the award, Trevor replies, “You do what you do – but it was nice to be recognised.”
Trevor bought the business in 2000 and significant growth saw an expansion to the new purpose-built store located on Drayton Street, four years later. With nineteen years experience with Andersen’s Carpets, Trevor knows all there is to know about the product range which includes ceramic tiles, carpet, vinyl, timber and cork floor coverings.
Choosing the right product for home, business and commercial flooring is an involved decision making process. Building an effective relationship with the customer is also essential.
Trevor acknowledges that a ‘stand-out’ aspect of the service given at Andersen’s Carpets is their dedication to making the process as smooth as possible for the client.
“We understand that in our game sometimes things just don’t go to plan. We try to accommodate our customer’s needs and re-schedule jobs to fit in with other tradesmen and changed circumstances.”
