Escape the EveryDay
Let your heart soar, laugh until your sides split, feel the tingle of electric excitement down your spine as you watch on from the audience - escape to another world, another time, another place.
Performances by Regional Arts Council Dalby Inc promise all this and more, with first class entertainment provided for the enjoyment of everyone in the Dalby and District community. If you are young, old, high-brow, bohemian or just wanting a new experience for a couple of hours, then you really must not miss the feast of events on offer every year.
Internationally acclaimed entertainers and some of the best shows that tour Queensland and Australia, are brought right here to Dalby with the assistance of Queensland Arts Council. Regional Arts Council Dalby also hosts a number of their own events including indoor and outdoor concerts at Jimbour House, either set in the beautiful lush gardens, or in the ambient Drawing Room of the historic homestead.
“I am sure there are many people in our community who have never attended an Arts Council event. I urge people to come along and see for themselves how captivating and entertaining the performances really are,” enthuses John Cavanagh, long time President of Regional Arts Council Dalby.
“We need to support the events so that we can continue to have them tour our region. The tickets are heavily subsidised making it affordable for the whole family.”
The Collusion Quartet will play in the Drawing Room of Jimbour house, featuring piano, cello, violin and clarinet, at 2pm on 20 September. The award-winning 2009 Gertude Langer Ensemble will perform in Dalby on 20 October, at 7.30pm at the Dalby Civic Theatre.
