Full steam ahead for Dalby Engine Rebuilders
Not many businesses can say they’ve gone back to their founding roots and mean it, like Dalby Engine Rebuilders.
Nearing 50 years in business, the team has moved back to their original Loudoun Road location and brought their experts back to the shop front.
While their look has changed from the original tin shed, part-owner Mick Meyers says the move has only strengthened the company’s core principles – providing quality service and parts to their customers with excellent customer service.
“This move will ensure a better understanding and better service to our customers through having our workshop experts on hand for consultation when needed,” Mick says.
“It’s a fresh start, enabling us to concentrate on what we do best – which is providing expert advice”.
Dalby Engine Rebuilders has always been a family owned and oriented business, believing that by staying privately owned they gain greater clientele knowledge to better serve Dalby and district.
Brian and Merle Meyers co-founded the business in 1958 and are now letting their children Michael and Catherine steer the reins.
“I am very proud of the business my parents built which has always offered a good mix of expertise, evident by our staff retention rate,” Catherine says.
With over 150 years of experience behind the spare parts and workshop counter it’s no wonder Dalby Engine Rebuilders are the local leaders in spare parts and engine reconditioning.
Manager of spare parts Geoff Bradley is proud to boast the knowledge and experience of his team.
“Roger has been with the company for over 36 years and has seen many makes and models of vehicles come and go, but he continues to keep up with the latest parts,” Geoff says.
Their new spare parts showroom stocks a vast range of hard parts including filters, gaskets, rings, bearings, water pump kits and full engine rebuild kits.
“We are now offering a new range of truck and trailer parts to accommodate this emerging market,” Geoff says.
“We’re proud of the new direction we’re taking because it’s unique in offering a one-stop-shop with friendly expert advice to the trade and D-I-Y customers,” Mick says.
