Dalby and District Friendly Society Dispensary’s spacious new premises, at 52 Cunningham Street, are delivering added benefits to customers.
Dalby FSD manager Alex Ayuya says the pharmacy has provided a high standard of personalised service to the local community since 1922 and the new premises were part of the store’s ongoing commitment to quality.
Originally set up by Dalby lodges to supply discounted pharmaceuticals to members, FSD now offers open membership to deliver attractive discounts on scripts and shopfront merchandise.
Better still, membership discounts are available at every affiliated FSD store networked throughout Australia.
The shift to larger premises over the road provides customers with improved services and facilities as well as supplying a wider choice of products.
“The way the new pharmacy is designed allows us to offer a better service to our customers.
“It is equipped with latest computer system, extra dispensing stations and registers for faster delivery of both prescription and non-prescription products.
“The expanded premises include rooms for visiting specialists and there’s now a consultation room for customers that will allow the pharmacists to better respect patient privacy.”
The new facility also incorporates a fully-equipped baby’s room, located in the centre of the pharmacy for easy access, where nursing mothers can tend to their babies. A baby nurse and lactation consultant will be available free of charge to FSD members every Wednesday morning.
“We continue to provide a wide range of health services such as blood pressure monitoring and blood glucose or cholesterol checks.
“There’s a wider range of merchandise in natural health products, home surgical aids as well as giftware and beauty products.”
Alex says Dalby and District FSD has continually improved and upgraded its services over time and the newly expanded services and facilities were a part of that business growth.
