DiesElectrics Powers Up
DiesElectrics is moving up a gear with a new team, new culture and new-look premises.
Anthony and Kellie Wenning recently purchased this well-known Dalby business and are adding their own management brand to its established tradition of good service.
Together they are bringing fresh energy to the business with a committed team, additional services and an expanded range of merchandise.
The new business changes will be reflected in a fresh image planned for the premises, both inside and out, with renovations due for completion in October.
The couple took over the business earlier this year after six years running AKW Contracting – a contract harvesting and GPS mapping business operating from Central Queensland to the Great Ocean Road in Victoria .
“With the addition of two children aged under two years we started looking for a good local business to buy and discovered an opportunity at DiesElectrics.
“As long-standing customers, we knew it was a great business and now we are committed to building on DiesElectrics’ reputation for dedicated service.”
Kellie says their background in farming and contract harvesting has given them a greater appreciation of customer needs.
“We’ve been on the other side and we understand that many situations require urgent action. We know what is on the line when a farmer’s machinery is broken down, he has a crop in the paddock and a storm is coming.”
And there’s new culture emerging within the team where employees are becoming more self-motivated and ambitious about their careers.
“We’re striving to provide staff with every opportunity to develop their skills while encouraging them to contribute to the business on a developmental as well as an operational level.”
DiesElectrics provides auto electrical services including automotive air conditioning, alternators and starters, automotive lighting, batteries, two-way radios and car multimedia. The business specialises in field services with two service units set up to support on-farm auto-electrical requirements.
Both Anthony and Kellie have strong family ties to the district and are committed to remaining part of the district’s future development.
“We are really inspired by all the positive activity happening in Dalby and we are keen to contribute to its long term sustainability.”
