Broadway to Dalby

Once upon a time, in a mysterious land, a young prince lived in an enchanted castle. The prince had everything he could want, but was selfish and unkind. Under the spell of a beggar woman he was turned into a disfigured beast and only through learning to love with his heart would the spell be broken...
Audiences will be captivated by the magic of live theatre with stirring music, brilliant costumes and spirited performances by a young cast, when Dalby State High School presents Disney’s Beauty and the Beast musical production.  Not less than 100 high school students will be involved in the cast and crew for the extra-curricular activity, rehearsing five hours a week, for a total of four months.
“It’s a wonderfully heart-warming story that people of all ages will enjoy and the costumes are really spectacular,” enthuses Tara Routley, Director and DSHS Drama Teacher.
“We have so much talent to showcase that some leads are double cast - this is an event not to be missed!”
A musical of this calibre would not be possible without the generous contribution by major sponsor, Aland and Co Accountants. “I believe ‘the Arts’ contribute a lot to our community, yet they are often under-funded, so we are pleased to be able to offer our support,” says Michael Harth, Director of Aland and Co.
With sell-out crowds predicted, locals are encouraged to buy tickets early.
