Tapping into Commercial Boom
Dalby’s ‘boom time’ and the subsequent demand across all branches of the trade sector have impacted positively on one quintessential ‘family’ business.
Fermor Plumbing is currently enjoying “a steady stream of work” as requests for all manner of plumbing requirements continue.
Established in 1976 by Ben and Judy Fermor, the business boasts a wealth of plumbing experience, coupled with reliability and genuine local know how.
Today, sons Shane and Cameron and their wives Jillian and Sonia play an integral role in the running of the business.
Backed by 17 staff, Fermor Plumbing specialises in both domestic and commercial plumbing and drainage, incorporating roofing and gas fitting.
Unprecedented demand for roofing has allowed Fermors to branch further into the commercial field.
“We’ve done the majority of commercial work around Dalby and further west, including a string of large-scale roofing projects, like Dalby Shoppingworld, Dalby Health Services, the Baptist Church and Drovers Motor Inn,” says Jillian.
Fermors expanded their business in 2005 with the inclusion of Access Guard Darling Downs, a scaffolding and edge protection systems hire business.
“We saw this as a way to respond to new safety standards in the building industry.”
While the business has grown, the values upon which it was founded remain unchanged.
“We are very loyal to our customers and our work is always completed to the highest standard,” offers Jillian.
With such a commitment to customer service be sure to see Fermors first.
