President flags new era of growth

2005 has commenced as a very exciting year for Dalby and District with some major projects finally becoming a reality and several more looking promising.

For the past couple of years it has been evident that Dalby would soon begin an era of growth and vitality that we haven't seen for quite some years.

The Dalby Chamber of Commerce & Industry has been very active over this period:

•  Promoting Dalby and District

•  Recognising excellence in service and industry

•  Being a voice to Local, State and Federal Government

•  Providing a link between government agencies and local business

Our well-recognised and popular @Dalby Magazine was launched last year and continues to gain momentum. The magazine was developed after extensive community consultation that identified the need to promote our town and local business community.

The Chamber also manages the Tourist Information Centre located in Thomas Jack Park. This centre is staffed by a wonderful group of volunteers who are invaluable in the promotion of Dalby and District. Our involvement in tourism can also been seen in our affiliation with the Toowoomba and Golden West Tourism Association.

Recognition of excellence is something that the Chamber is passionate about. Our monthly Exceptional Service Award and annual Business Excellence Awards reward those in our community who deserve merit. The success of these awards is reflected in the way our business community comes together to celebrate achievement.

As Dalby continues to expand in both population and business enterprises the need for one collective business voice becomes imperative. The Dalby Chamber of Commerce & Industry strives to be that voice.

With contacts established at all levels of Government the Chamber is readily aware of issues of importance to local business. And when needed, ready to lobby Government. As we all know - the louder the voice the more likely success.
