An Eye For It

Local optometrist, John Davies, was lured to Dalby thirty years ago as a new graduate, he loved it so much that he stayed on to raise his family and grow his business here. Today John continues to operate Dalby’s longest running optometry business which first opened in 1940. 

As the fifth owner of the practice which was started by Brett Halford, John admits that though there have been changes in technology, some things haven’t changed.

“We keep up to date with the latest developments and technology for eye care, but still pride ourselves in offering old fashioned service.”
“Our friendly caring approach and commitment to providing expert treatment has meant that we have looked after generations of families in some cases,” he says. 

An inquisitive mind has meant that ocular pathology (diseases of the eye) has become a special interest area for John. “I really enjoy the challenge of diagnosis and I am kept motivated by being able to help people,” he explains.
