Above: Jacqui and Brett Jones of McDonald's Dalby recommend the new McCafe restaurant for a quick snack or lunchtime treat.

When the kids want burgers and a playground but you prefer a soothing cappuccino in café-style comfort, there is one place that has it all.

The newly refurbished McDonald's Dalby now includes a McCafe with a wide selection of cakes, gateaux, pastries, panini, foccacias and coffees that offer a choice from the traditional menu.

Choose from the extended range of foods as you relax in up-to-the-minute décor or dine out on the upgraded terrace area. Children will delight in the refurbished party room and corporate groups are also catered for.

McDonald's Dalby owner/operators Jacqui and Brett Jones purchased the business in 2000 and have continued to upgrade the restaurant to maintain a modern aspect.

The recent renovations, carried out by Dalby contractors Carmichael Builders, are contemporary in concept and include wall graphics depicting local events.

Jacqui and Brett are delighted at the range and quality the new McCafe offers and to celebrate they are giving away a cup of coffee with every cake or slice purchased from McCafe.

Cappuccino, cafe latte, hot chocolate, frappe, gourmet tea or vienna coffee are part of the selection together with a tempting range of mouth-watering sweets.

"Delicious goodies such as muffins and all-time favourites such as chocolate mud cake, banana and carrot cakes are popular items," Jacqui said. "Our panini and foccacias are a great option for a light lunch alternative.

Jacqui and Brett place high importance on training and developing staff and are strongly committed to meeting community expectations.

"A growing number of people are requesting gluten-free products and there are those who prefer vegetarian meals so we cater for those customers," Jacqui said.

For parents seeking a little time out from the demands of young children, Wednesdays offer a special playcraft program between 9.30am and 10.30am.

Children under five years can join in an hour of fully supervised fun craft activities while parents unwind with a McCafe coffee. Bookings are essential, so any interested parents should contact McDonald's Dalby on 4662 5366 for more information.

McDonald's Dalby operates seven days a week and opens after hours until 10pm most nights with an additional opening hour until 11pm on Fridays and Saturdays.

So why not bring the family to Dalby's new McCafe and enjoy the experience?
