Join a mchappy team
The new owners of McDonald’s Dalby, local couple Andrea and Rod Steele, are excited about plans to boost the local team and make further upgrades to the popular family restaurant.
Andrea and Rod joined McDonald’s 13 years ago after being in the hospitality industry. Impressed with the McDonald’s business system they decided to join the Golden Arches and are now employing more than 160 staff in the two stores they own and operate in Dalby and Kingaroy.
“We’re delighted to take over the business and I’m looking forward to working with the managers and crew at the Dalby restaurant,” says Andrea.
The couple are also looking to recruit 25 more people in casual roles in the summer months.
“Now is a great time to join the McDonald’s team, summer is gearing up and there are many exciting new positions available.
“Their experience in the business will help them become more confident and acquire valuable customer service and business skills. It’s also a fun environment that brings out the best in people.”
The Steeles recently made a significant financial investment in the business by upgrading the drive-thru facilities.
Plans are also underway to refresh the restaurant décor with a contemporary new look and feel. The restaurant offers a complete range of café-style coffee and cakes, drive-thru, playground, Wi-Fi internet access, indoor dining area and an outside terrace.
Additional menu options have been introduced including the new Angus Premium Beef burgers. Andrea encourages locals to come in and try the many new items on the menu which have been popular around the country.
Andrea and Rod Steele are big supporters of local businesses and often work in collaboration to fundraise for important causes like Ronald McDonald House Charities.
“Running a McDonald’s restaurant is also about supporting the communities in which we operate. We’re keen to develop more local relationships with other businesses, community groups, schools and sporting clubs and we will continue to support the Dalby community through sponsorships and fundraising.”
