You could say that Alice Bentley and her team are responsible for the gift of pleasure. Some would say that they are also in the health business, with a pet from Dalby Pet Centre just what the doctor ordered.
Pets offer their owners companionship, young children a friend, confidante or protector, and research suggests that owning a pet can even be good for your health. There is a clear link to dog owners undertaking the necessary exercise to prevent cardiovascular disease, and pets have also been used successfully in therapy for people suffering from psychiatric illnesses and Alzheimer’s disease.1
Alice purchased the business in July this year and relocated Dalby Pet Centre to the roomier premises in New Street, stocking an extensive range of pets and pet related products.  The team pride themselves on their friendly, helpful service advising on a wide range of animals including birds, chickens, freshwater and marine fish, rats, mice, puppies, guinea pigs and kittens. 
“We try to accommodate the needs of all our customers, whether you have a small or large space to keep a pet,” says Alice, who is also licensed to sell protected birds, spiders and scorpions.
