Trusted service boosts bottom line
Consistent and reliable advice is essential for high-quality crop care and can dramatically improve the bottom line.
Total Ag Services (TAGS) offers agronomy services for cotton and broad acre, specialising in nutrition, irrigation and pest management, to maximise yield and quality.
Jeff and Ray Mott together with Murray and Justine Boshammer own and manage this totally independent business that has operated in Dalby since 1995. The team has continued to expand the
company with a policy of offering trusted and reliable service.
“Supplying a complete range of seed and chemicals enables us to offer a total package to our growers.”
Both Jeff and Murray have a background in agronomy services and agricultural chemical supplies and are able to offer valuable advice with the support of well-trained and dependable staff.
Jeff says a frank and honest approach has helped the company develop solid relationships with growers.
“We endeavour to form a partnership with our customers to ensure together we can achieve the best results.”
On-going training in new products and services provides continuity and also ensures growers are kept up to date with the latest industry changes.
With farmers facing ever increasing limitations on water restrictions, TAGS offers a consultancy service that includes irrigation checks.
Advanced soil monitoring equipment can be purchased and installed to achieve better water efficiency and Jeff says it’s pleasing to see growers embracing the technology.
“We’ve been working with the equipment for the past seven years and in that time we’ve seen a gradual improvement in farm water use and efficiency.”
The company recently carried out work for the Condamine Alliance completing radar surveillance on dam walls for possible faults, and conducted surveys on dam seepage within the region.
And with an understanding of the need to move with industry changes, the company is currently investigating precision farming practices as another avenue to maximising yields.
A proudly local company, TAGS keenly supports community events such as the Australian Cottonweek Festival and is a joint sponsor for weather stations across the Darling Downs.
“As a local company we believe in supporting the community and welcome the opportunity to meet up with clients at local events.”
If genuine local service is important to you, the TAGS team is hard to beat.
