Reliability proves popular
While modern technology has boosted efficiency, breakdowns can cost time and money.
Dalby Outdoor and Machinery sells the latest range of outdoor power equipment and machinery to improve work efficiency with the added guarantee of reliable back-up service.
The company specialises in new farming technologies with spraying tillage and grain handling, offering a wide selection of after-market farming parts.
Agricultural brands such as Jetstream, Mobil, Fleetguard, Nitro are part of the quality product range and there’s also a variety of top selling outdoor power equipment featuring brands such as Stihl, Rover and Dixon.
Proprietor Pat O’Brien says servicing the products they sell has proved a winner with customers.
“With new technology, time is a lot more critical to modern day farmers. We’ve had a huge response from customers on our after sales service because they know that when accidents happen or something breaks down, we’ll back it up or fix it.
“Why let a $50 part, stop a $200,000 machine from doing its job?”
The company sources the appropriate spare parts and can generally deliver quick, overnight turnaround. Add to this, a sales team with almost 80 years combined local experience, and it’s easy to see why business is booming.
Staff numbers have jumped from 3 to 13 since the company opened its doors less than 18 months ago. And Dalby Outdoor and Machinery is already the Number 1 Queensland dealer for Nitro Self-Propelled Spray Rig (No. 2 on the Eastern Seaboard) and Australia’s No. 1 dealer in ‘Wheatheart’.
Pat believes a personal one-on-one approach to service and a solid understanding of the right product for the job will continue to drive the company’s growth.
“Our focus is on having experienced people giving informed advice. We employ local people who know the area and we are accountable for everything we do.
“There are a lot of changes happening in modern day agriculture and with the right approach, there’s an opportunity for the company to move with those changes.”
Pat is also optimistic about the future of the region and believes the company is well placed in Dalby.
“Dalby is moving ahead, and with continued customer support, there’s huge potential for the business to grow.”
