AgCollege

Local Agricultural College with national strength

In June 2005, the Dalby Agricultural College became the Dalby campus of the newly formed Australian Agricultural College Corporation.

Now part of a wider dynamic force in agricultural and rural training in Australia, the Dalby campus is one of five Australian Agricultural College Corporation campuses in Queensland and offers more options than ever for students and the community.

Acting campus manager, Bill Callaghan, says the Dalby campus offers high quality accredited training and is on the cutting edge of rural technologies.

“We consult closely with beef and cropping industries for example, and widely encourage the use of our facilities for industry workshops and training days.”

The Dalby campus includes five commercial properties covering 11,000 hectares as training resources. This is of particular benefit to full time and part time students on campus.

“From engineering and welding to practising livestock vertical integration (there is a feedlot and butcher shop on site) to participating in research and trial work, students are guaranteed a well rounded experience.”

Acting manager of student services, Tania Roy, says the Dalby campus is committed to remaining active within the local community.

“We value support from the Dalby community and we aim to continue to develop relationships across local businesses and industries.”

“This is a new and exciting time for everyone connected to the Dalby campus and our future looks very bright.”

Tours of the Dalby campus are available for interested groups.
