Farm-based Westgate Seeds is ideally located just 10 minutes outside Dalby on Yaralla-Wheat Road with easy access to the Dalby, Macalister, Chinchilla and Jimbour growing areas.

A focus on service and relationships has seen Westgate Seeds develop a loyal local customer base and extend its reach as far as Charleville, Longreach and Rockhampton.

The business offers quality in barley, wheat and oat seed, Lefroy Seeds, hybrid forages, sorghum, sunflowers, sprouting blends, fertilizers, pasture seeds, bird seed, stock feed, Gulf Western Oil, and Superior Fertilizer and fertilizer blends.

Russell, Vonnie and their staff have adopted a strong customer service approach that has allowed the business to grow against all odds.

“We have been inspired to think that we were able to develop this business during one of the worst droughts on record.

“Our customers continue to demonstrate their confidence in us.  We even have quite a few customers placing forward orders - 12 months out - which is really encouraging.”

Just like a nurtured seed grows and flourishes into a thriving plant, Russell says he is confident the seed and grain industry will continue to thrive and plans to see Westgate Seeds blossoming along with it.
