Owner-manager Jim Charlton says many people don’t realise how important it is to have their tyres correctly fitted and maintained.

Jim took on the Goodyear business in May 2005 and hasn’t looked back. With a background in farming, qualifications in heavy earthmover tyre-fitting and seven years experience running a country tyre business, Jim is keenly aware of the needs of a rural community.

With recent equipment upgrades in the workshop, Jim and technician Brian Webb are able to balance and align wheels with more precision than ever before, ensuring an even smoother ride.

This service is backed up with free monthly tyre pressure checks aiming to keep you driving on your new tyres for longer.

For commercial and agricultural customers, Goodyear’s fully equipped service truck will come to you on-road or on-farm to minimise down time.

Jim said Goodyear was one of the only outlets in Dalby to offer nitrogen filling of tyres as well as standard compressed air.

“More and more people are using nitrogen.  It can make a big difference to the performance of your tyres over time.”

Another great option available through Goodyear is the Tyre Protection Plan. 

“Sometimes the unexpected can happen - a stake, blowout or even kerb damage, which can affect the life of your tyres.   We give customers the option of taking out a protection plan for extra peace of mind,” Jim said.
