With the backing of major sponsor AACo ensuring a $15,000 prize purse for the feature event, the day is certain to attract first-class racing and keen punting.
The popular race meet has long held the reputation as a great day out and now the event could also prove a valuable showcase for local industry.
Australian Agricultural Company will offer its premium brand beef `1824' at corporate tables while its gourmet jaffle pies will be on offer to all race-goers.
Award-winning Jimbour Station wines will be served as the company lends its support as official supplier for the day.
The Dalby Amateur Picnic Race Club is offering businesses an attractive table-sponsor package and aims to lift the profile of the race day as major sponsors play host to corporate clients and international export customers.
Picnic race committee member David Smiles said: " We aim to turn it into the premiere picnic race day event for Queensland."
The marquee area will be extended to accommodate additional seating and much-loved traditions such as the fashions on the field will continue as part of the entertainment program.
Special guest, Queensland Governor Quentin Bryce, will present the Governor's Cup to the winner of the AACo Open sprint.
The usual big day of racing starts 12.30pm featuring the AACo Open (1000m), Nifsan Developments Class 6 Plate (1200m), Black Toyota Handicap Class B (1400m), Wagners Concrete Handicap Class 1 (1200), Landmark AWB QTIS Added Stakes Maiden Plate (1100m) and Ostwald Bros Maiden Plate (1400).
And when the excitement on the turf is complete the fun continues under the marquee with live music by 'Turbium" until midnight.
