When you're dealing with the largest fuel distributorship on the western Downs it's nice to know community counts.

Proudly Dalby owned, Country Petroleum maintains a philosophy that supporting the community is all a part of good business.

With a combined staff of 14 working in retail outlets and depots at Dalby and Chinchilla the company supplies Caltex products to customers networked across the Downs.

Co-owner and manager of the company, Geoff Campbell, is a firm believer in local businesses backing local events.

"Employing local people means getting behind the things that interest them and giving something back to the community that supports our business," Mr Campbell said.

"We are sponsors of the Australian Cottonweek Festival and have been major sponsors of the Women's Tennis Australia tournament for the past four years," he said.

The company services commercial transport fleets, primary producers and the general public with an emphasis on friendly customer service.

Trained staff have knowledge of the local area that ensures the right product is delivered within 24 hours of placing an order.

All products are sourced from the Lytton refinery out of Brisbane and delivered direct to the customer via a fully computerised ordering system catering for wholesale and on-farm needs.

"Delivering direct from the terminal gate has reduced double handling and resulted in cost savings being passed on to consumers.

"It's improved the efficiency of the company and we've had a lot of positive feedback from our customers," he said.

At Country Petroleum there's no need to wait in a call centre phone queue - friendly, local service is right on hand.
