Jason Schilf sees a lot of faces working behind the console at Dalby's Mobil Roadhouse - some are just passing through, some he sees everyday and others belong to regular travellers who like to catch up between trips. It's what Jason enjoys most about his job - 'every day is different because you're interacting with different customers while always aiming to be friendly and helpful.'

It's this same enjoyment for his work and helpful customer service attitude that has been recognised by Mobil customers who nominated Jason to receive the Chamber of Commerce's Exceptional Customer Service Award.

Thrilled to be selected for the February 2004 Award, Jason attributed his success to 'always trying to help out customers any way I can.'

Mobil customer Peter McKinnon praised Jason for not only having a pleasant manner but being super efficient. 'He sees me in the driveway filling up and by the time I walk inside he has everything laid out ready for me to sign. It takes about 30 seconds and I'm on my way again.'

Employed by Mobil Roadhouse for the last 10 and half years Jason has worked his way up from a part-time position as Junior Sales Assistant to his current role as Assistant Manager.

With his sights firmly set on a future within the fuel industry Jason is currently studying a Business Management course at Tafe. 'I would like to see myself in the next 5 years managing my own Mobil site.'

Passing on a big thank you to those customers who nominated him, Jason says, 'When you receive a compliment like this from customers it really makes you feel that you're doing something worthwhile.'
