In and Around Dalby
The Regional Art Gallery holds regular exhibitions
and is found in the Cultural and Administration Centre. Take the
Heritage Trail or experience the
serene natural beauty whilst walking along the path of the Myall Creek
- feed the ducks and geese along the way and don't miss the Aboriginal
art murals on the building immediately adjacent to the footbridge.
Pioneer Park Museum
Memorabilia includes Ned Kelly's letter to his mother, automotive, early
fashions, household goods, an extensive rock, mineral and fossil collection,
as well as one of the largest collections of working tractors and agricultural
machinery in Queensland. The Museum has a crafts store and is home to
the Dalby Genealogy Society as well as the Dalby Spinners and Weavers

Agriculture
Dalby has 2 cotton gins, with the Queensland Cotton gin at Cecil Plains
open for inspection by appointment. Summer crops include cotton, sorghum
and mung beans, whilst wheat, barley and chick peas are grown during
the winter months. Grain silos are a common sight, as Dalby is the largest
rural grain receival centre in Queensland. Livestock properties, fish
farm, feedlots and coal mines can also be found in the area. A visit
to the Dalby Wambo Saleyards, the largest single day selling centre
in Australia on Mondays & Wednesdays is suggested.
