Bunya Mountains Drive continues: Travelling now approx 22kms towards Dalby, take the Malling/Boundary Road on your right to Rangemore Estate B & B and Winery - a cattle and vineyard property high in the foothills of the Bunya Mts with expansive views of the mountains and surrounding hills. Vines of Shiraz, Verdelho, Merlot, Cabernet, Sauvignon and Sangiovese are hand pruned and harvested. The cellar door is open Friday - Monday from 10am to 5pm or by arrangement. Open 7 days during school holidays. Snacks available. Just getting a taste for the wonderful wines of the region? Then proceed to the award winning boutique winery at Maclagan - Rimfire Winery. Sample the superb red and white wines and enjoy an alfresco meal at the Black Bull Cafe with sweeping vineyard and valley views, rolling hills and patchwork farms. Open weekends and public holidays 10am - 5pm. Winemakers BBQ Sundays 11.30am - 1.30pm. As this is a popular Sunday outing, bookings are recommended. A reduced menu is available from the Cellar Door weekdays. All wines are estate grown and produced. Kaimkillenbun or "The Bun" has the longest single place name in Queensland and was the setting for the movie "Chase Through the Night" starring Nicole Kidman. Olympic basketballer, John Dorge was born here. Take in the atmosphere of the historic "Bun Pub" whilst partaking in a cool ale or counter meal. Ask to see the signatures of WWI soldiers on the eve of their departure. A short drive to return to Dalby, perhaps watch the sunset or even the night sky with millions of stars!
